SHRM Hawaii is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are your local starting point for continuing education, networking, information, professional development, and continued support of excellence in Human Resources.
Thinking about professional growth or making a positive impact within your community? We invite you to be an active part of our SHRM community by taking on a volunteer role.
We have different types of volunteer opportunities - Leadership Positions (Board member positions) or Volunteer Activities (committee member positions). To learn more about our committees, please click here.
Leadership/Board Positions serve a term of 12 months (calendar year). Some benefits of becoming a SHRM Hawaii Board member include:
- Professional Growth: An opportunity to be recognized as a leader in the field of human resources.
- Engage and Inspire: The valuable opportunity to mentor and network with peers and colleagues within the HR profession and/or within the local business community.
- Re-certification: Hours spent as a volunteer leader can be counted toward re-certification hours for SHRM.
Join us in advancing the Human Resource profession’s capacity to drive workplace excellence within business, education, government, and communities in the State of Hawaii.
